*Interim results of Petition to Jewish organizations in the USA re
"Palestinian state":*



Thank you to all the petition signers who have asked American Orthodox
Jewish leaders (for starters...) to take action against the dangerous notion
of Palestinian state. You can sign if you haven't yet done so:

Some of you wrote in to ask -- what about Conservative Jewish leaders.
Answer: absolutely these should take action as well - rockets which will fly
out of a Palestinian state right onto Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem and Ben-Gurion
airport will NOT detour to avoid hitting Conservative Jews. So, Conservative
Movement members, please do contact your organizations and leaders and let
us know what response you get.



*Here are some results so far about the organizations appealed to by the
petition: *



*Agudath Yisroel of America*: works under the guidance of hareidi rabbinical
leaders. It seems that the Public Affairs Department may not yet have
contacted these rabbinical leaders to ask what to do about the Palestian
state issue. Judging from past experience, it is helpful to email Aguda's
Public Affairs Department --  Dzwiebel at agudathisrael.org,
shafran at agudathisrael.org -- and *respectfully and courteously* ask could
they possibly contact their rabbinical leaders urgently for guidance
regarding action to prevent a Palestinian terror state. Remind them that you
are speaking on behalf of more than 2000 signatories:

*AMIT*: We hope to hear favorably from AMIT shortly and will update you at
that time.



*Chabad International*: There probably will NOT be any action against
Palestinian state by the US Center in New York or by Bet Din Chabad here in
Israel. However, Chabad gives alot of autonomy to its people; so if you live
in the US or Israel, contact your local Chabad emissary and ask if HE is
willing to help prevent Palestinian state by increasing awareness on the
local level. Many of the emissaries are fantastic. If the two of you aren't
sure what's the best action to take, we are happy to suggest. Please keep us
informed at mattot.arim at gmail.com.



*Emuna:* No response so far. Since this is a Religious Zionist organization,
it would be good if a few of us could contact mizrachi at rza.org (and/or call
their local Emuna representative) to ask why they have not responded to the
call on major American Jewish organizations to reject the unjust and
dangerous notion of Palestinain state. Remind them that you are speaking on
behalf of more than 2000 signatories of the following:

*Jewish Press*: Provides several great columnists who give or could give the
straight story re Palestinian state -- Moshe Feiglin, Caroline Glick, Aaron
Klein, Emanual Winston for example. We are contacting each of these great
folks to ensure they will write *specifically*  about Palestinian state and
the danger it would pose for 19 out of 20 of Israel's largest cities. Many
people simply aren't aware of this fact. One problem, however, is that some
of the paper's materials have a strong pro-Palestinian message because they
are taken from Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA) whose staff for the most part
are adherents of the pro-Palestinian state lobby. If anyone knows someone in
the Jewish Press, it might be good to ask whether they can import articles
from Arutz 7 or Jerusalem Post or some other source which is more balanced
than the JTA.



*National Council of Young Israel*: Young Israel's action alerts warning
about Palestinian state have been fantastic and an example to other
organizations. Everybody please keep doing what Young Israel asks and
passing their requests on to others. If you are in a Young Israel community,
thank your Rabbi for what the leadership is doing for the Jewish people.
