בעקבות התקפת המחבלים, בשעת טיול, על החיילים דוד רובין  ואחיקם עמיחי הי"ד
לפני 3 שנים - נשבעו החברים להמשיך לטייל בארץ ישראל. 3 שנים מתקיימים כל שבוע,
טיולי דוד ואחיקם בנופים עוצרי נשימה. הטיולים מאורגנים ע"י אנשים אחראים
וזהירים, אלפי  מטיילים משתתפים, לרבות חברינו מאשדוד, ראשון לציון, בת ים,
ירושלים, תל אביב, נתניה ועוד.



ביום שישי האחרון, התקיים טיול על פי המתכונת הנ"ל בגוש עציון. ערבים זיהו את
המטיילים, ירו לעברם, יידו עליהם אבנים וזרקו לעברם רימוני נפצים.  קבוצת
המטיילים מנתה עשרות אנשים ביניהם בני 70 שהליכתם איטית כך שלא ניתן היה לבצע
פינוי מהיר. לכן המאבטחים ירו כדי להציל את המטיילים.



ואולם, המשטרה עצרה את המאבטחים - והאשימה אותם בהריגה -- בטרם הוכח כלל שיש
בכלל הרוג (גופה), ובטרם נחקר אפילו ערבי אחד.



מחר יום רביעי  2/2 - דיון בבית משפט השלום בירושלים (ע"י מגרש הרוסים). נתייצב
בשעה 9:30 בבוקר כדי לדרוש שחרור מיידי של המאבטחים.



תזכורת: אחרי רצח דוד ואחיקם, ראש הממשלה דאז אהוד אולמרט אמר  כי "החיילים
לחמו בגבורה "  -  שר הבטחון דאז אהוד ברק הצטרף לדבריו. מחר יום ד נקרא ונאמר:
* מותר להתגונן - מותר להישאר בחיים בלי להיות עצור ונאשם בהריגה -* *חובה
להעמיד לדין את מי שצריך (הפורעים הערבים)*

*Elementary Self-Defense***



Three years ago, two soldiers, David Rubin and Achikam Amichai, were
murdered by terrorists while hiking.  Their friends swore to honor their
memories by continuing to hike. For three years now, on a  weekly basis,
thousands of ‘David and Achikam hike’ participants from Ashdod, Rishon
Letzion, Bat Yam, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Netanya, and more .have been led by
responsible, cautious guides.




Last Friday, the group hiked in Gush Etzion.  Arab terrorists spotted them
and began shooting  at and stoning the group.  Due to the presence of senior
citizens, evacuation was so slow that defensive measures were required. But
when army and police forces arrived, all hikers carrying weapons were
arrested, imprisoned and charged with homicide -- before it was even
established that any of the attackers had been killed, before a dead body
was even produced, and before even a single Arab attacker or onlooker had
been interrogated.



*Tomorrow - Wednesday, February 2nd, is the court hearing in Jerusalem’s
Russian Compound.  Women in Green are asking the public to be there at 9:30
a.m. to **stand up for **the right to elementary self defense -- and to
demand that those improperly detained be freed immediately!*



When David and Achikam were murdered, then Prime Minister Ehud Olmert
correctly said “[they] fought bravely”.  Why is it that now, the
*victims*of Fridaiy's

busy sorting out this problem. The MKs' email addresses are above, in blue,
and here is a possible draft letter:  *Dear Madam** or Sir**. Here is an
email message including information verified and distributed by the
rightwing human rights organizations: Human Rights in Yesha, Honenu, and the
Residents' Committees. I would appreciate your cooperation in immediately
telephoning the Police Minister and urging him to verify this entire
matter independently and** to **act upon it immediately. I look forward to
