הערה: ח"כ רובי ריבלין מהליכוד לא יצביע בעד החוק כי רצונו להיבחר בעתיד לנשיא
המדינה בעזרת קולות של שמאל/ערבים. אסור שעובדה פוליטית מצערת זו תשפיע כהוא זה

*Important Development Tomorrow!! We all need to help it happen!!*

The USA has had an anti-boycott law for years - it was passed when the Arab
League started boycotting Israel in the 70s.****

Tomorrow, Monday 11 July,  probably fairly late at night Israel time,
Israel's Knesset is finally bringing an anti-boycott law up for a vote. It
is designed to create sanctions applicable against Israeli individuals and
institutions which agitate to boycott Israel while continuing to get
benefits and grants from the very country (their own) that they are
boycotting. In the Hebrew section above you will find some example links to
click on, which show Israelis advocating boycotts  against Israel. Obviously
these Israelis'  actions strongly contribute to the "justification" of such
boycotts, in the eyes of ignorant young people on campuses and streets in
Europe and the USA. ****

It is obviously these Israelis' democratic privilege to behave in this
bizarre way. And it is also, just as obviously, the democratic privilege of
Israel's legislators to finally pass a law making it harder for these people
to do damage to their own state. ****

Please use the blue paragraph of email addresses of critical Israeli MKs,
above, in the Hebrew, and write a short email calling on each and every
legislator to stay late in Knesset Monday night, tomorrow 11 July, to vote
for this important law. Israeli legislators are notorious for occasionally
"jumping ship" at crucial junctures - this could cause the whole bill to
fail. ****

initiated or expressed support for the law. These 7 are now in the
opposition rather than the coalition hence might be tempted to vote against
it for narrow political reasons: ****
