בקרוב נתניהו אמור לשאת נאום מדיני חשוב נוסף. השר לעניינים אסטרטגיים, בוגי
יעלון, ממליץ על כיוון  חדש. אהוד ברק כצפוי ממליץ על ההפך:

ברק רוצה, כרגיל, שנתניהו יכריז על וויתורים *מצידנו* – כגון, הקמת מדינה
פלשתינית "זמנית".

כעת השאלה היא, מה יעשו חברי מפלגת השלטון. האם יעזרו ליעלון לגבור על ברק? או
שמא יהיו "ראש קטן" ולא ייאותו להתייצב לצד יעלון?

היות שהשפעתנו, הציבור, גדולה מאד, עלינו לפנות בדחיפות לנציגי הליכוד ולבקש
מהם להתייצב לצד הצעתו של יעלון. הנה מייל לדוגמא (ומי שמכיר את הח"כים והשרים
- שיצלצל אליהם, באותה הרוח, ואנא דווח לנו מה הם אמרו):

הליכוד. רצוני לבקש שבהזדמנויות אלה, תתייצב בכל מאדך לצד יעלון.  ההבדל
תהומי!! ברק ממליץ: וותרנות לפלשתינים והקמת מדינה פלשתינית "זמנית". ואילו
יעלון ממליץ על נאום צ'ר'ליאני: לא לנדב וויתורים אלא ההפך - **לדרוש** ויתורים
מהערבים ולהאשים רק אותם בכל כשלון. השר יעלון הזהיר בדאגה, שהוא מאד מקווה
שנתניהו לא מתכוון להציע מדינה פלשתינית זמנית!***

*Strategic Affairs Minister Yaelon Makes The Right Move, Takes on Barak,
Please Help*

Strategic Affairs Minister Yaelon and Ehud Barak have provided
polar-opposite suggestions regarding Netanyahu's upcoming major policy
statement.

See links, in the Hebrew above: Associated Press and Reshet Bet reports of
their positions.

*    * Barak *wants Netanyahu to announce concessions and set up a
"temporary" Palestinian state just a bike-ride away from Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv
and BG airport.

    * But *Bogy Yaelon*, our Strategic Affairs Minister, says the speech
should be Churchillian - demanding concessions from the Arab side rather
than accepting blame by offering even more concessions from us. Yaelon
expressed a fervent hope that Mr. Netanyahu would NOT agree to a "temporary"
Palestinian state!

What will Likud (the ruling party)'s ministers and Knesset members do  about
this? Will they sit around helplessly like indolent junior employees, or
will  they jump up energetically to take a firm, bold stance in this crucial
ideological contest?

We, the public, have proved several times that we can be very influential.
So, let's all contact the ministers and MKs  and ask them to make a move -
the right move!  If you know MKs or ministers personally -- call them and
let us know what they say. And if not, please write to them! Email addresses
are above, between the Hebrew and the English. And here's an example letter
(of course, if time and talent allows, you can write your own)

*Dear Likud MKs and Ministers, I know that on Sunday morning, Likud
Ministers have their weekly meeting, with attendant reporters of course. And
the Likud Knesset faction convenes Monday afternoon. Could you please
utilize these golden opportunities, and others, to stand up for Strategic
Affairs Minister Yaelon's recommended Churchillian speech, rather than
Netanyahu announcing yet more concessions, such as setting up a "temporary"
Palestinian state, a la Barak? I look forward to hearing or reading the
strengthening remarks you will be making, in the newspaper or on the radio
