כל הצעות החוק נועדות לגרום לבית המשפט העליון להיות מאוזן, כעת בית המשפט
העליון (ולכן גם המערכות המשפטיות האחרות המושפעות ממנה) מוטה לשמאל כי רבים
מן השופטים הם בעלי דיעות שמאליות רדיקליות  והם מממנים לעצמם מחליפים -- שגם

Sunday and Monday there are 3 important bills coming up which are trying to
loosen the hold of the radical left on Israel's High Court of Justice
(HCJ). The problem is that many of the judges hold radically
pro-Palestinian beliefs and of course this affects their work. For example,
the HCJ recently ordered the Government of Israel to explain why Arabs are
more stringently security-checked than Israelis are, at Ben-Gurion airport.
Similarly, in 2002, the HCJ refused to allow the IDF to relocate a
terrorism activist from Yehuda/Shomron to Gaza. The court said that
"Removing a person from his home and forceably moving him elsewhere is a
grievous blow to his honor, choice and property". 3 years later, in 2005,
the same HCJ had no problem in allowing the government to force thousands
of Israelis out of their homes in Gush Katif. These are 2 of many examples.
The bills provide (a) a hearing for judges before their appointment, as in
other countries; (b) pave the way to appoint a President for the GCJ,
Justice Grunis, who is not a member of the radical left (c) pave the way to
have both right and left represented among the Bar Association's
representatives in the Committee for Selection of Judges. ****

HOW CAN YOU HELP?****

Sunday at 1:30 pm*, kindly SMS these ministers. ****

November), kindly email all the Knesset members who will be voting! Their
email addresses appear above, in the Hebrew, in one long paragraph. ****
