* מומלץ לומר את הדברים הבאים: האחים חלמיש הם חברי כיתת כוננות, שחשו לגבעה
שמשקיפה ("שולטת") על היישוב שלהם כדי להתמודד עם התקהלות של ערבים שם. זאת עשו
לא סתם כך אלא כי הוזעקו למקום ע"י אחראי הבטחון של היישוב. אחראי הבטחון, שהיה
הדמות העיקרית בפרשה, קיבל חנינה ולא הושלך לכלא, ולא הגיוני שדווקא האחים

demonstrators until he happened to get caught on film choking the 18 year
old son of a well-known Gush Katif deportee: Itzik Cohen, a well known

Feel free to speak or write in English. Express your concern that Israel is
abandoning those who defend it. Since when is it unreasonable for security
officers to shoot in the air (which is all the brothers Halamish did) if
they find themselves surrounded by Arabs at a location adjacent the yishuv
that they are responsible for protecting? This is particularly the case
since so many polls show that a huge majority of Palestinians (84% by the

support terrorism.
IMPORTANT: Remember that President Peres had no problem in pardoning the
double-convicted Arab murderers of Danny Katz --

President Shimon Peres's office has called the Halamish brothers and said
their request for a pardon is being considered. But alas, these are only
words. Without any action, Danny and Yitzhak
will be going to jail on April 10 for up to eight months.
Please redouble your efforts. Call the Israel embassy [telephone
202-364-5500] and ask to speak to the military attache. Express your outrage
that the Israel Army abandoned its fighters for protecting Jews. Don't
argue. The military attache's office knows exactly what you're talking
about. Stress that you are an American citizen whose support for the Israeli
military is based on its protection of Jews. Say that you also plan to
discuss this case with your member of Congress who decides on U.S. military
aid to Israel. The Olmert government, with an approval rating of near zero,
has refused any accountability to the Israeli people and fears only the Bush
administration. Unless we act now, there will be many more young Jews in
jail. The Jewish holiday of Passover is about redemption. Let's work to
redeem our fellow Jews.

he will be doing in a kaffia and toy gun so you can properly thank the
Cameri for their PR services on behalf of the Palestinian terror movement. 2
