לאחרונה נעצר תושב שבות-רחל, אב ל-4, ע"י השב"כ. הוטל צו איסור פרסום, *שפג
לפני זמן קצר.* נפוצו שמועות על* חשד* למעשים חמורים שביצע כלפי יהודים ו.או
ערבים. חלק מהשמועות מכוונות ע"י גורמים מעוניינים. ייתכן  שההר יוליד עכבר אך
אין לדעת.

שבות רחל היא חלק ממפעל  ההתיישבות שכולנו שותפים לו. התייחסותנו היא:

1. דרכנו המוסרית והלאומית בר ורה ומוצקה וכמו כל אזרחי ישראל אנו מגנים
ומוקיעים מעשים חמורים. נפשנו סולדת מרצח ומאלימות. כך חונכנו וכך  אנו מחנכים.

2. טרם הוכחה אשמתו, אנו מאחלים לו הצלחה להוכיח את חפותו, בשעה קשה זו.

3. אל לנו ליפול ברשת של גורמים אינטרסנטים שיהיו מעוניינים להכפיש את
ההתיישבות בכל מחיר. לכן מומלץ להשאיר לדוברים בשבות רחל והסביבה, את השיחות עם
אמצעי התקשורת: דקלה בן-פזי 052-8448367, שמעיה תירם 052-5666674, הרב בן-ציון
עמר 052-8119565 עמיחי ברוורמן 050-2003467, שבח שטרן 052-5340007. לא לצלצל
אלא אם יש צורך דחוף. עדיף לסמס.

4. נזכור: אסף גולדרינג שרצח לאחרונה את נועה בת ה-3 היה קיבוצניק ופעיל שמאלן
מוכר וידוע http://www.local.co.il/raanana/56784/article.htm. אף עיתונאי ימני
לא ניצל לרעה את הבמה התקשורתית שלו על מנת לרמוז שכל השמאלנים והקיבוצניקים הם
כמו גולדרינג. כנ"ל -- זהו מעשה גס ולא-מקצועי כשעיתונאים שמאלנים מעזים להטיל
רפש בציבור הימני או הדתי או המתיישבים, כשקורים מקרים קשים.

A father of 4 from Shvut Rahel was recently arrested by the Shabak. Rumor
has it that this man *may* have committed serious crimes against Jews and
Arabs. Some of these rumors were engineered by sources having clear
political interests. The man may turn out to be innocent of any wrongdoing,
or he may not.

Shvut Rahel is a part of the settlement community in which we are all
 participate
in one way or another. Our attitude is, first, that our moral and national
path is clear and solid and like all Israeli citizens we deplore serious
criminal acts. We are shocked by murder and violence. The grave suspicions
have not been proven and we wish this man success in proving his innocence.

We should not fall into traps set by special interest groups striving to
de-legitimize the 300,000-strong Jewish community in Yehuda and Shomron.
Spokespersons are available in Shvut Rahel and neighboring communities (see
cellphone numbers in Hebrew text above); it is recommended to let them be
the ones to talk to the media.

Assaf Goldring whose murder of his own 3-year old daughter shocked us all a
little while ago was a well-known extreme left activist and kibbutznik
http://www.local.co.il/raanana/56784/article.htm  , but no right-wing
journalist abused their standing by insisting that all leftists and
kibbutzniks are responsible for Goldring's shocking crimes. Similarly, if a
leftwing journalist or editor or producer or politician hints that all
rightists or "settlers" are responsible for individual misdeeds, this is
disgusting behavior and should be treated accordingly.
