עוד לפני קום המדינה, בית עזרא בחברון היה שייך למשפחת עזרא, שברחה מהעיר
ב-1947 בגלל המצב הבטחוני.  לאחר שחרור חברון במלחמת ששת הימים, במקום להחזיר
את הבית למשפחת עזרא, האפוטרופוס הכללי ****

השכיר את בית עזרא ל...פלשתינים שהפכו את הבית לחנויות. בימי האינתיפאדה
השנייה, סוף סוף משפחת עזרא התפטרה מן השוכרים הפלשתינים כי אלה כמובן פונו
בגלל החשש הבטחוני. ****

זמן רב החנויות היו ריקות, ולבסוף "פלשו" (ברשות הבעלים האמיתיים, משפחת
עזרא!!)  2 משפחות יהודיות לחנויות הריקות והפכו אותן חזרה לבית מגורים.****

ועדת עררים צבאית דנה בפרשה וקבעה 2 קביעות:****

    א. יש לפנות את 2 המשפחות היהודיות -- הרי הם "פולשים"! אבל, ****

    ב. יש לאפשר לגורם יהודי *אחר* (היישוב היהודי בחברון) לשכור את הנכס  ****

בשנת 2010, "שלום עכשיו" עתרו לבג"ץ -- אבל לא לטובת בעל הבית היהודי, שנושל
מרכושו לטובת הפלשתינים בשיטת "הרצחת וגם ירשת". אלא, לטובת השוכרים הפלשתינים
כמובן!  ****

השבוע ממשלת הליכוד בראשות נתניהו השיבה לבג"צ כדלקמן:****

א. אכן לפנות את המשפחות היהודיות. אבל לא עכשיו אלא אחרי הבחירות (כדי לא
לעשות מעשה מביך כזה לפני הבחירות)****

ב. "לבחון" האם להשכיר את בית עזרא לישוב היהודי בחברון או לא. מתי יסיימו
"לבחון" ויתנו תשובה סופית?  "לפני מועד הפינוי". כלומר שוב - רק אחרי
הבחירות...****

ולהבהיר להם שזה לא הולך ככה. דוגמא למכתב:****

עליי "לבחון" האם להצביע לליכוד או לא. בכוונתי "לבחון" זאת, רק אחרי שנתניהו

לפלשתינים?? ****

רמז: הבית *שייך*  ליהודי חברון - לא לנתניהו ובוודאי לא לפלשתינים!! לכן, מי
שרוצה את קולי, כדאי שישים לב שבעצם יש כאן סוגיה *מאד-מאד פשוטה*!!  אשמח אם
תדאג שמר נתניהו יודיע לציבור הבוחרים כשהוא סוף סוף מסיים "לבחון" את הסוגיה,
כדי שאוכל אני "לבחון" איך כדאי לי להצביע בבחירות. ****

Ezra House in Hebron is the property of the Ezra family, Sephardic Jews who
fled in 1947 because the city was becoming too dangerous for the few Jews
left there after previous massacres. Hebron was re-taken by Israel in 1967,
but the Ezra's did not get their home back. Instead, the State Custodian
(Opotropus) rented the house -- to Palestinians, who turned the house into
shops. ****

 ****

The Ezra family sighed with relief when it became necessary for the State
to disallow the Palestinians any further residency in the house during the
second Intifada. This occurred due to the rampant Palestinian terrorism and
the proximity of Ezra House to nearby Jewish homes. ****

 ****

But in 2010, the radical pro-Palestinian group, Peace Now, petitioned
Israel's High Court -- not to get the house returned to the Ezra family who
own it -- but to get it returned to the "wronged" Palestinian tenants!  In
the meantime, 2 Jewish families had set up residence in the house -- with
the agreement of the Ezra family but lacking, of course, agreement on the
part of the State Custodian. ****

An Israel Defense Forces committee was charged with reviewing the situation
and decided (a) that the 2 Jewish families who entered with the Ezra
family's consent were "trespassers" who must be evicted, however (b) other
Jews should be allowed to use the house since after all, this was the
express wish of the Ezra family. ****

The Likud-led Government has just filed their response to the High Court.
Guess what? The Likud-led government has agreed to one-half of the IDF
Committee's recommendations: They WILL evict the 2 Jewish families but they
will NOT allow other Jews to enter in their stead -- they have told the
Court that they agree only to THINK ABOUT that part of the recommendation. *

THINKING should be required on your part, since after all, the home is
owned by the Ezra family - not by the Likud and certainly not by the
Palestinians, but I look forward to hear your THINKING on that point as
